Fermacell is available in standard sizes (1200mm x 2400mm) as well as custom formats up to 6000mm x 2540mm.
Fire Resistance
Fermacell is a class '0' and class '1' Board and provides F60 applications from single layer constructions upto 10m high. European class A2
Moisture Resistance
Fermacell waterproofing application system to give peace of mind. The ideal wall board for kitchens and bathrooms, it can withstand humidity levels of up to 80% Rh. Maybe installed before building envelope is complete.
Impact Resistance
Fermacell is strong enough to use in schools, sports halls and hospitals, reducing the need for ply-backing. Fermacell dry lining meets BS 5234:part 2 Severe Duty Rating.
Acoustic Performance
Fermacell meets and exceed Part E BB93 and HTM 2045 requirements. It can be used for walls, ceilings, or floors where sound proofing is required. A 100 mm wide stud wall with Fermacell board gives better acoustic reduction than a 275mm block wall.
Load Carrying and Structural Properties
Fermacell is high load bearing and can carry upto 30kg from a single screw and upto 50kg from a wall plug fitting which virtually eliminates the need for noggins.
Eliminates Plastering
Fermacell board is easy to use and is ready for decoration without the need for plaster. For a "glass" finish use FST (Fine Surface treatment) to apply a skim coat finish using DIY skills and is dry within 45 minutes. It's great for touching up to give a smooth finish.
