partition wall panels
The fast and work-friendly building solution for interior walls
Floor-high partition panels made of Ytong aerated concrete are highly suitable for placing interior walls (partition, storage, and corridor walls), non-bearing inner cavity sheets and pipe ducts in a fast and work-friendly manner. Thanks to their light weight, the partition panels can be quickly and easily installed. In addition to this, the panels’ moisture resistance means they can be mounted during shell construction, which shortens overall construction time.
Ytong partition panels can be applied everywhere. However, because conditions and requirements – particularly in the area of thermal insulation – are not the same everywhere, we offer different partition panel models. The differences lie in weight (which affects noise insulation), thickness (which affects thermal insulation), and dimensions.
Ytong partition panels are highly suited for BIM (Building Information Model). This means that we can integrate them for you in virtual buildings – in both residential and utility building – that you set up together with us using BIM.
Application of Ytong partition panels
Partition, storage, and corridor walls
Ytong partition panels are excellently suited for rapidly raising partition, storage, and corridor walls between rooms at thicknesses of 70 or 100 millimetres.
Inner cavity sheets
Ytong partition panels offer the same insulating characteristics and simple manageability for inner cavity sheets as they do for partition walls. On top of thermal insulation, the panels also offer you the possibility to attach wall ties to frame corners in a simple manner. Always use panels of 100 millimetre thickness in the weight category G5/800 for inner cavity sheets.
Use panels of 100 millimetre thickness in the weight category G5/800 in pipes or living spaces for reducing noise. In non-residential spaces, panels of 70 millimetre thickness (in the standard weight category G4/600) will do.
Advantages of Ytong partition panels
Light in weight
The ‘airiness’ of aerated concrete (the lower volume mass) makes it a light building material. This is a large advantage against other materials, as it offers easy manageability and convenience. Placing the panels is in fact physically much less exerting than placing rival products, thanks in part to the (hydraulic) tools. Furthermore, foundations and load-bearing structures can be constructed more lightly.
Aerated concrete is airtight and insulating; thermal bridges are impossible. For a completely airtight result, we advise you to pay attention to detailing, such as the airtight finishing in ducts and the airtight connection of window frames.
The billions of cells in aerated concrete contain the best insulator imaginable: still air. The material therefore has a very high insulation value for a stone-based building material.
Fire prevention is about protection from (the consequences of) a fire. The speed with which a fire spreads is often a decisive factor. Ytong aerated concrete has a tested fire resistance of at least 360 minutes.
Aerated concrete possesses a higher sound dampening capacity than what might be expected on the basis of its mass. This ensures good noise-resistance and noise-absorbing characteristics.
Ytong partition panels are industrially pre-fabricated, can be delivered on demand and are fast, clean, and assembled with minimal waste right out of the factory, without further complications.
High-value stone material
Ytong aerated concrete is a homogenous, stone building material. It doesn’t contain any fibres or materials other than stone.
Thanks to their smooth surface, Ytong inner walls are easy to finish. By means of dry milling, you can easily add pipe ducts and recesses for electricity outlets. After smoothening the seams and removing possible rough patches, your Ytong interior wall will be ready for wallpapering.
Environment-friendly and sustainable
Ytong partition panels are a sustainable choice whichever way you look at them. Aerated concrete is made from naturally and widely occurring raw materials: chalk, sand, and cement. The blocks can be fully recycled after use. Furthermore, their insulating characteristics naturally reduce energy consumption, thereby contributing to lower CO2emissions.
Simple assembly and finishing
Ytong partition panels can be managed quickly and easily by a hydraulic trolley. It is important that, upon implementation, you make the right choice and process the panels correctly. Which panel thickness do you need? Which processing materials must you get? How do you place and set a wall? And how do you finish it?
